Our walk will begin at the City Hall of Granada in the Plaza del Carmen. We will visit the 14th century Corral del Carbón which was used as a coal yard and warehouse, built under Yusuf l, it is the oldest moorish monument in Granada. We will continue our walk to see the statue dedicated to the history changing agreement made between The Catholic Monarchs and Columbus.
Together we will then walk through the narrow streets of the old silk market of Granada. Here will we will three important monuments of Granada; the Cathedral, the Royal Chapel and the old Arabic University, the Madraza. The narrow streets will lead us to one of the most historical plazas in Granada, Plaza Bibrambla. What is today a vibrant plaza filled with people was once the stage for one of the most tragic events in Spanish History. We will talk about the history of the three religions in the city of Granada.
This beautiful plaza will lead us to the beginning of the open air market area in Granada. We can end our cultural and historical walk with a traditional Vermouth in the San Augustín Market.
