Come walk with me and let’s discover together the first Avenue of South America. We will see curiosities and symbols of Argentine culture.
We will leave the Plaza del Congreso designed by a French landscape designer. We will be surprised by a mysterious building – it had such an impressive lighthouse that could be seen from Uruguay!, on the other side of the Río de la Plata. This imposing palace is linked to Dante Alighieri, writer of the Divine Comedy. As we continue, we will see authentic local cafes that symbolize our identity. Writers, politicians, tango singers, among other personalities used to meet there.
Together we will cross one of the widest avenues in the world, we will enjoy the panoramic views and a mural of Evita. After walking all the extension of the first Avenue of South America, we will arrive at Plaza de Mayo. There, I will tell you curiosities about the Casa Rosada and the story about the “Mothers of the Mayo Square”.

Hola! Welcome to Buenos Aires! My name is Johanna, but you can call me Joy.
Born and raised in Buenos Aires, so that makes me a porteña. I’m an experienced 34 year old licensed tour guide, very passionate and dedicated to my work. I have studied Tourism (licensed tour guide and travel agent) as well as Culinary Arts. Apart from loving food I have always been a passionate drummer and I love to dance some tango during my free time. Music pumps in my veins and rhythm is set in my heart.
It has been 10 years since I started with tourism industry, and loving every second of it. Apart from offering local experiences in Buenos Aires, I've been also travelling with people from all ages and from all regions of the world while showing them around South América (Brazil, Uruguay, Bolivia & Chile).
