Located right in the heart of Argentina, Cordoba city is the second largest in the country. Famous for its hills and rivers, its popular “fernet with coke” drink, its rich history and emblematic buildings, Cordoba has a unique personality.
We will start our tour walking along one of my favourite spots “La Cañada”, the channeling of a creek, flanked with rosewood trees competing for light and water in the middle of downtown. I will share with you some spooky stories revolving around this area, and then we will move on to a very curious restaurant, and learn about our most typical food and the typical Cordobese lifestyle.
Our next stop will be the Jesuit Block, declared as World Heritage Site by UNESCO, where we will see the most prominent 17th century buildings — and discover why Cordoba is often referred to as “La Docta”. From there, we will walk through “Pasaje Santa Catalina” a narrow cobblestone passage that leads you right into the iconic San Martin square where you will be able to spot the majestic Cathedral, our former colonial town hall, and perhaps some street vendors and performers.
We will end our walk with a little surprise! So, come walk with me and get soaked in Cordobese culture and lifestyle!
