Live Tours are carried out by our hosts, who are outdoors, on location and connected live to you via video call at all times.
If you have never been to Lisbon and would like to get your bearings within the city together with a good historical introduction to it, this is the tour for you, and the one you should take before you take any of my other tours!
Come explore with the most vibrant neighboorhood in the city: Chiado. Home to the oldest bookstores in Lisbon, meeting place of intellectuals, writers and musicians. This is where the locals meet for coffee, shopping, dinner and also for the venues at the local theatres and the operahouse.
We will start our tour on the top of Santa Justa elevator, one of the best viewpoints over the city. From here we can see the opposite hill where the Castle of St. George is located, the Cathedral, the Tagus river and all the downtown. After understanding how the city’s urban landscape had developed over time, we will walk together to Carmo square, where one of the big steps of our revolution of 1974 took place.
I will show where you can find some of my favourite restaurants in the city while we make out way to Garrett street, the epicentre of this lively area, home to some of the historical shops of Lisbon, and we will stroll it together, making our way to Lisbon’s downtown, where I will invite you to come walk with me on your next visit to Lisbon!
