Product Description
We will go on a pilgrimage to where William Shakespeare was born on 23 April 1564, find out about his parents, visit his school and discover what he would have studied there. What were the formative years of the most studied and watched playwright in history actually like? How did he become such an excellent wordsmith?
We will also talk about why he has often been dismissed as being the writer of all the 39 plays. What was it about his ordinary upbringing that still makes people today ask whether it was him that produced the work?
We will visit the larger property he purchased when his plays had proven successful but before he worked for the Kings Players. You can decide if we have a look around his son-in-laws place “Hall’s Croft” and the theatre.
Finally we shall end up, as Shakespeare did, at his grave in Holy Trinity church, which contains a curse for those who wish to disturb his peace.
