Product Description

This tour is an introduction to the fantastic world of Barcelona’s most important architect, Antoni Gaudí  (1852–1926).

We will begin in the heart of Barcelona to see the exterior of two of Gaudí’s masterpieces: Casa Milà (also known as La Pedrera) and Casa Batlló. With these famous apartment buildings as a backdrop, we will learn about the historical and architectural context which made Gaudi the most representative figure of Modernism (Art Nouveau) in the city. These two monuments were declared World Heritage Site by UNESCO and testify to Gaudí’s exceptional contribution to the development of architecture in the late 19th and early 20th centuries.

During the course of this Gaudí walk, we will also look at other works as we stroll down the famous boulevard of Paseo de Gracia.  By the end, we will have insight into Barcelona’s evolution and what led Gaudí to deliberately construct fascinating buildings in a very personal and unique style.
