Product Description
Come walk with me to discover the beautiful town of El Puerto de Santa María.
It’s located in the South of the Iberian Peninsula and is surrounded by the Atlantic Ocean. The area is considered one of the best vacations spots in Spain! And it’s easy to see why: the Phoenicians arrived here 3000 years ago, it has been populated by many cultures since due to its ideal geographical location.
We will start our walk in front of the Priory Church and walk along the main sights that make the city so special. You’ll learn about the importance of religion in this area, its festivities and legends, the importance of trade with America during the 15th and 16th century, and – last but not least – the Sherry wine passing by its ancient palaces and old wine cellars.
Walking through its charming streets all the way to the ancient Castle built by Alfonso the X, you will find out about the cities’ popular traditions and food. And of course, at the end we will sit down together – time to enjoy a customary glass of Sherry and to find out about the wine’s varieties and its production process.
