Product Description

This tour begins in Plaza Anzurez, where the city was founded in 1538 at the arrival of Spaniards.

Walking to the corner we will be able to spot the Convent of La Recoleta, the oldest Franciscan Monastery in the city from 1600. We will have a view of the Church of Santa Ana, the Stone Clock and the first Franciscan School set up in Sucre.

We will walk through the Plaza Anzurez, which by the way is a recreation place for young people and adults, many times f00t-ball matches or small fairs are held there and after we will direct us to the fountain La Pilgrim from 1630.

Continuing we will start exploring the oldest area of the city and walk towards the “Street of Cats”, The White Cat, The Black Cat, The Brown Cat and The Pendenciero Cat – all beautiful picturesque streets that take us back in time.

After that we walk back to Anzures Plaza again but to a diferent area, this time to explore a nice tiny souvenir market!

Once we explore here we walk towards the “Mirador of La Recoleta” from 1979, the most impressive view point in town, where may people stay to have a coffee at a vey nice cafe or just stroll along the lookout area to enjoy the beautiful sunsets with a view of the city and the whole Andes Range in front.

During the tour we talk about history, legends and local customs. Come walk with me!
