When w descend from the famous cathedral Fourviere, we will arrive directly to the center of Old Lyon. More precisely , to the square Saint Jean and the cathedral Saint-Jean-Baptiste. From here, we have the choice to walk through 3 different streets and get to know more of the history and architecture in this beautiful part of the city.

We will discover the traces of Renaissance and see that this part of Lyon used to be the center of merchandise and culture in this period. The facades of the buildings dating from the 13.century (Renaissance period) were renovated at the begin of 20th century. While walking through the Old Lyon we will discover the pathways called “traboules” that used to connect two streets and enable easier transport of silk and other goods for merchandisers. “Traboules” served later also as a meaning to hide and escape from Gestapo forces during the 2.WW.

So, lets walk together and discover some more hidden jewels of Unesco protected Vieux Lyon!:)
