Product Description
Some of you might be familiar with the operetta The Student Prince which became a big hit on Broadway almost 100 years ago, and if you are not, never mind!
Let me show you around the city where the play is set and take you through its romantic alleys. We will start our walk on university square and pass by the historical student jail, which ironically was a rather comfortable place. You will hear about Heidelberg’s interesting past, why the castle and city were destroyed. Nowadays the castle ruins and their enchanting setting make Heidelberg so attractive and picturesque…
We will stroll through the old town’s cobble stoned allys and pass by the birth house of Germany’s first democratically elected president. Another well known landmark is the old bridge over the Neckar river, from where we you will have a fantastic vieuw on the castle and the bridge gate with its twin towers.
We will continue to the picturesque market square with the city’s most important church and the town hall. We will finally move on to Charles Square, where I will show you Mark Twain’s favourite student inn.
The Student Kiss will remain a surprise!
