Product Description

This walk starts right at the gate of the Simón Bolivar Park, a place that was given as an award to the city of Sucre for the first centenary of “INDEPENDENCE”(1909).

The layout of the park, previously called “Paseo del Prado”, was conceived by the last president of the Royal Audience of Charcas, Ramón García de León y Pizarro 18th century, the park housed a wall and statues of life-size animals such as the elephant, the cat, and the parrot on those days, but later the most notable beautification of Bolívar Park occurred in the neoclassical boom in Sucre and in connection with the celebration of the Centennial of the Republic, at which time, with the financial support of mining industrialists, the beautification of some public spaces was sought.

Around the park are the Supreme Court of Justice, flanked by two arches of Triumph, an obelisk and a French-style fountain, which also has a hidden iron tower surrounded by an artificial lake.

The history that surrounds this place is very interesting related to the times of Republic and mining in Bolivia.
also in one of the most beautiful places of recreation and scattering in the city.

Once we walk all the park we reach the “Rosedal”a very romantic place for couples from sucre where a water dancing fountain gives really nice shows.

To finish we walk toward the old train station of Sucre and learn how the trains arrived to Bolivia!

to be sincere one hour is to short for such magnificant place that hides so much in history and culture! hope you walk with me this litle part of Sucre and you will be fascinated!
