A closer look at the Prince Elector’s residence

A closer look at the Prince Elector’s residence

Product Description

Heidelberg Castle has developed over 350 years from a simple fortress to a sumptuous palace and is majestically overlooking the old town.
Let‘s walk together in the Artillery Garden, once the private park of Elisabeth Stuart, and discover her birthday present!
Entering the castle premises you will be impressed by several enormous gates and a portcullis.
We will get to know different buildings from the outside and hear about their history. Why is the castle a ruin? Obviously the reason has to do with a woman…
Finally there is the largest wine barrel in the world waiting for us! It has a capacity of 48000 gallons or 220000 liters.
Come walk with me.
