Product Description
How do we remember the darker phases of history? And how do we remember the victims of one’s nation’s history?
Walk with me to explore three memorials right in heart of Berlin within sight of the Brandenburg Gate and the Reichstag parliament building. While seeing and experiencing the design and artistic language of these three memorials we will also talk about the history of Jewish, homosexual and Sinti and Roma victims of National socialist terror.
Each of the three: The Memorial to the Murdered Jews of Europe, the Memorial to the Homosexuals Persecuted Under Nazism, and the Memorial to Sinti and Roma Victims of National Socialism, has it’s own history being connected to the history of Nazi terror and how Germany today deals with it and remembers its victims.
